Business Update During Coronavirus Outbreak
Dear Customers and Friends
Update as of 15 July 2021
The Government has announced that as of 19 July restrictions will be lifted. This will mean that social distancing and wearing of face masks will no longer be a government requirement in most situations. The government is advising caution in crowded or confined situations and the wearing of face masks will still be required on public transport.
It now falls to each individual business to assess the risk presented by COVID and how it might affect our guests and staff. The government is anticipating another wave of COVID infections as restrictions are lifted. With this in mind and based upon our own risk assessment we have decided the following:
- We will continue to restrict the numbers of people that can utilise our facilities block at any one time to a maximum of three in the ladies and three in the gents.
- The laundry will be restricted to one guest or family unit at a time.
- The wash up area will be restricted to a maximum of three people at any one time.
- We will not be operating a small shop service at reception.
- We will only allow a small number of visitors on site. You must come to reception and declare them and fill out a form with their names, address, e-mail and telephone numbers.
We intend to review the above policy in early September when more information is available.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping us all safe at this difficult time.
We are looking forward to welcoming our customers in the coming months.
Warm regards
Nick & Kell

Dear Customers and Friends
Update as of 2 December 2020
After the second National Lockdown, the country now returns to 3 Tier Restrictions.
Cornwall is in Tier 1. Therefore, we are allowed to welcome customers from Tier 1 and Tier 2. If you have a booking with us in December, we can ensure you that we are ready for your stay.
Please do follow the Government Rules and Guidance. See below:-
************************
Travel within the UK
From 2 December to 27 December the advice on travelling outside of your tier, including for overnight stays, will depend on your tier. Check the rules for your tier.
Between 23 and 27 December, you may travel between tiers and other nations of the UK if necessary to meet with other households in your Christmas bubble or return home. Once at your destination, you should follow the rules in that tier.
You should not travel to see your bubble before 23 December, or travel back after the 27 December except in exceptional circumstances (for example, if a member of your Christmas bubble develops symptoms of COVID-19 and you are required to self-isolate). Anyone travelling to or from Northern Ireland may travel on the 22 and 28 December.
Transport routes may be busier than normal. You should:
- plan ahead, check for disruption before you leave, and avoid the busiest routes, as well as busy times
- avoid making unnecessary stops during your journey
- avoid sharing a car with people not in your household or Christmas bubble
- keep your distance from other people when you travel, where possible
- wash or sanitise your hands regularly
- wear a face covering on public transport in England unless you’re exempt
If you plan to travel to Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, you should read guidance from Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland before you travel.
You can stay in a hotel, hostel or B&B, in line with the rules in your tier. In tier 3, in order to be located near your Christmas bubble, you can stay in a hotel between 22 and 28 December, as long as you’re staying by yourself or with other members of your household, or support bubble. You should not gather as a Christmas bubble in a hotel, hostel or B&B unless a member of your bubble lives there permanently.
You can stay in private rented accommodation such as short term holiday lets with members of your household, or your Christmas bubble.
If you need to travel with your Christmas bubble, wherever you are, you should follow Safer Travel guidance.

We wish you all safe and healthy for the festive season.
If you stay with us this December, we look forward to welcoming you!
Warm regards
Nick & Kell
Dear Customers and Friends,
Update as of 23rd June 2020
Re-Opening from 4th July! Hooray :)
We have just listened to the Prime Minister’s announcement in Parliament. He has confirmed that Campsites can re-open from July 04 as long as any shared facilities can be kept clean. There are still the usual caveats regarding social distancing and good personal hygiene with frequent hand washing and hand sanitizing still a requirement. He confirms that the virus is still with us and that we need to remain alert and contact tracing will be a key feature of managing the epidemic.
We will have enhanced cleaning regimes in place and have already taken steps to add hand sanitization points around the park. In line with current Covid safe guidance we will be limiting the numbers of people that can use any shared facilities and signs will be clearly posted around the park. We will study the detail behind the announcement and determine what if any further restrictions will need to be employed. Please bear with us. We will get the details finalized in a day or two.
So from today we will be contacting anyone with an existing booking by e-mail and confirming that payment can now be taken. Payment can be made by bank transfer (details should be on our email confirmation) or credit card over the phone or online.
We are so excited and look forward to welcoming you all back to Silver Sands Holiday Park.
Warm regards
Nick & Kell
Update as of 20th June 2020

Hope that this difficult period will come to an end soon. The urge to travel to your favourite spots and breathe the fresh Cornish air is growing every day. So we will be ready as soon as the restrictions are lifted. We will soon reopen in the best possible conditions to ensure an excellent stay that will make this strange interlude a distant memory.
For customers who have booking with us for July, we will be sending emails to you as soon as we have updates from the Government.
Thank you again for your patience.
Warm regards

Update as of 12th May 2020
Our Holiday Park is currently closed.
The timing of when we can re-open remains uncertain and this will be when the Government say the emergency is over and travel restrictions have been lifted.
Although on Sunday May 10 the Prime Minister issued an easing of some of the lockdown restrictions for certain business categories the leisure sector was not included in this change. We continue to monitor the government’s announcements and will post any update that affects our opening here.
Customers with bookings up to the end of May will be contacted and offered a choice of alternative dates or a credit to use anytime up to the end of 2021. Customers with a booking in June are also welcomed to take up either of these options. We must stress that this is a very difficult and challenging time for our business and we very much appreciate the loyalty of our customers to help us through this. Please stick with us and help us to move your booking smoothly to a safer time.
Warm regards
